Chief LeTava Mabilijengo is a mother, author, advocate, and educator. Thru more than 30 years of community development, she wrote and developed a set of training units that became The Black Woman's Agenda for recovery. As a home school educator, in 1995 she organized a Black home school network in Indiana. The infrastructure of that network later became the prototype for a nationally acclaimed primary and secondary school that still operates in Indianapolis, Indiana today. She has worked extensively facilitating rites of passage programs and is a steadfast advocate for the sustainable liberation of Black people.
Chief LeTava is also an electrifying speaker, sustainability trainer and personal development counselor. She facilitates powerful spiritual nature retreats for women, character development classes for adults and children, and adult training units in the areas of Matriarchal Nation-building, parenting, and Afrikan-centered male/female relationships. She lives what she teaches and often welcomes others into her personal space to witness, learn, heal and grow.
As of 2016, Chief LeTava expanded her work ourside the united states. She has established a functional base in Belize, Central America where she facilitates an annual training retreat. Living between both countries, she maintains her unwavering commitment to the fight for the liberation of her people at home and abroad.
